Windows Vista: Sleep Mode

I have really only briefly described Windows Vista's new Sleep mode in the past. Sleep is a hybrid low-power state, it combines the benefits of Standby and the Hibernation low-power modes.In Windows XP, Standby mode turns off the monitor and hard drive and then your computer goes into a low power state.
